Brad brings a wide scope of experience to Excell Partners. Prior to graduating this past June, Brad was a full-time MBA student at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School. At Simon, Brad worked in his first year as an Analyst for the Simon School Venture Fund. In his second year, he acted as Co-President of the Fund and is now an alumni Board member, and is responsible for mentoring the current leadership team of MBA students managing the Fund. He is also operating as TA for a new practicum course, which he helped design, being offered to students working on the Simon Fund. After completing his MBA, Brad interned with Constellation Brands’ internal corporate VC group and worked on consulting projects for the Rochester Angel Network, The Democracy Collaborative, and others. Brad’s prior experience also includes strategy and business development for The Tech Garden (a startup accelerator/incubator in Syracuse, NY), data analysis for CenterState CEO (regional economic development agency in upstate NY), and various positions working in and around state government in NY and California. Through all these positions, Brad has accumulated a wide skill-set pertaining to venture capital and startups including strategy and operations planning, business plan writing, deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio reporting, and relationship management. In addition to his MBA from the Simon Business School, Brad has an MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, where he also received his BA in Philosophy.
