Dan Dykens

Serial Entrepreneur

Dan is a serial entrepreneur with experience taking companies from concept to exit. Dan spent a decade in the hedge fund business as an analyst, trader and portfolio manager investing primarily in technology companies. He then spent 4 years as Co-Founder and CEO of Norbury Financial Systems, a SaaS research management company. In 2009 Dan founded Meet the Street, a SaaS corporate access platform, which he sold to Instinet in the following year. He served as President of Meet the Street a subsidiary of Instinet Incorporated and a Managing Director at Instinet from February 2010 until September 2012. Dan was recruited to be the President & CEO of ClearMomentum, Inc. in September 2012. He helped turn the company around and sold it to Ipreo (a Blackstone & Goldman portfolio company) in December 2014. In 2015 Dan launched Grey Spyder, a Big Data start-up. Dan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 with a BBA degree with a concentration in Finance. In 2007 Dan was named one of Boston’s 40 Under 40 by the Boston Business Journal. Dan serves as the Chairman of No Homeless Children, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness a funds to help combat child homelessness. Dan also sits on the Advisory Committee for Star Mountain Fund Management, LLC a NYC based private equity firm that seeks to invest in small and medium size businesses. Dan lives in Pittsford, NY with his wife and three children.
